Lead Guitarists(alsong with Singers and Drummers) are one of the more audible members of a band. Just to note that most of the well known Classic Rock/Rock bands had a Lead Guitarist exiting prematurely. Any reasons?

Below is a complied list of Lead Guitarists who left their bands (bands that I usually listen to) :

Buying a Guitar

In line with my new year resolution,I’ve decided that I need a new guitar.The one I have right now(thanks to one of my senior at work who lent it to me) is great but somehow lacks the punch.
Still undecided as to which one I would buy.If only I had some extra bucks….
Probably a Yam or Ibanez would do for now.

Vh1 is airing new programs called “Guitars of God” every weekend at 1100 hrs(repeat weeknights after 2300 IST).

Do check the program if you like guitars and good music.Featured artistes include Eric Clapton, David Gilmour,John Mayer(all three covered last week),Mar Knopfler,Slash,Santana,Nirvana,Jimmy page,SRV,Hendrix etc.

After learning Guitar for 10 months and then quitting for the same period,went to the class yesterday. Same hall,same teacher,same colleagues(well just 2 out of the 5).’Was thoroughly surprised when I wasn’t reprimanded by my teacher. Guess thats because he has seen many like me.Immediately told me to occupy my usual seat and start playing.

Once again felt great playing Bhoopali,Kamaj,Durga,Kafi(my fav),Bhim Plas,Baageswari and other raaga’s.Music is divine!

Also relieved that my guitar playing hasn’t gone down to where I had expected.I am playing it fine(well by my standards).

Become a Guitar Virtuoso
