EagleEye pledges his Eyes

Yesterday I was travelling back to my 3rd trip in_this_month to my hometown,Hyderabad. I had a chance encounter with the harsh ground realities of this thing called Life that left me pondering…
Though I think I am sympathetic and emphathetic to others and their feelings, the incident jolted me back to the thinking and taking this step of Pledging my eyes.Even Aishwarya Rai’s plea failed to such an impact.
As I entering the Railway Station,I walked past a decent looking man with a back pack and talking in English. As I turned towards him,I realized he was blind and was requesting for help.On enquiry,he replied in good english that he wanted to go the overhead bridge so that he could quickly go the other side of the railway station. He also said he rarely ventured out to these places and thus his difficulty in gauging his way.
Everything was fine,I helped him and after leading him away,he thanked me with a handshake and started talking.
“Thanks a lot for helping me. I think you are going to your hometown for the festival. A very happy Diwali to you and your family.”
That set the thought process.I was first wished for this Diwali - the festival of lights by someone who apparently lives in darkness.
And I pledge my eyes…
