In the movie “Hyderabad Blues“, when the protaganist & his friend are caught by a cop for breaking a traffic signal , his instant reply was :
Do you know who I am ?
I am the nephew of DGP Reddy…..
No, This is not a post about movie dialogues . But how often do we see the the high-profile cases actually being convicted for their wrong doings? Inspite of the recurring BMW cases or the news items about reel heroes thinking they are real heroes, the law enforcer hears this line more often than not.
Yesterday watched Punk’d on VH1 where Ashton Kuther plays pranks on some of his friends and other celebrities. In that episode Rihanna & Hugh Jackman were Punk’d . Inspite of their clout and celebrity status, they were real obedient to the law (I am sure they were unaware that it was a setup).
Now the question is : Why is it that in our country, we are so unable to follow the decorum ?
