Its not a car,its not a truck,its not just another 4×4.A vehicle in a league of its own.Its the Hummer.

Ok don’t start waving the green flag…I just “fancy” owning one.

170hp,350+ pound feet torque,16 in ground clearance,37 inch wheels,traverse 40 % side slope,gear reduction of 2 to 1 at wheel,sealed power train,break throttle modulation,heading a 60 degree incline…need more?

Considering the roads(esp in Pune),a hummer seems to be fit like a shoe.Whether you are threading roads that are non existent or fighting for space with the numerous fleets of office buses and cars,a hummer not only would level you with them but also keep you lot safer.With its aggressive stance,most of these office cars(read indica’s) would think twice before trying to change lanes and cut you at their whim.I am no preacher on traffic sense but how many times have you felt on the defensive for no fault of yours?

Coming to the question of it being fuel hungry,aint it all inclusive?

I came across a couple of reports which may/maynot be authentic.Just google Hummer vs Prius.The report by CNW from the design to the scrapping of a car a hummer is more economical and enron friendly.Another report says poultry farms are the largest contributors to the green house emissions.Does that mean people would stop eating chicken(I wouldnt mind,I am almost vegan..except for the milk in my unlimited cups of coffee).Developing better technologies is the only viable solution.People like Jonathan Goodwin and Uli Kruger are ones to be focussed on.Click here read about Jonathan’s interview.As the interviewer on FastCompany puts it “He’s the Motor Messaiah”.

A snippet from the interview:”Conservatively,” Goodwin muses, scratching his chin, “it’ll get 60 miles to the gallon. With 2,000 foot pounds of torque. You’ll be able to smoke the tires. And it’s going to be superefficient.”He laughs… “Think about it: a 5,000-pound vehicle that gets 60 miles to the gallon and does zero to 60 in five seconds!”

Whomsoever It may Concern at the GM,
I am a Hummer enthusiast.I am eagerly waiting for the Hummer to be launched in India.I promise I would be the one among the many who would wait in the line to book myself for a test drive alone.You dont expect all interests would be converted to orders,do you? I wouldnt like to own a Hummer.Unless ofcourse I am gifted one with trunk full of currency for the fuel.A hummer is not for everyone.
Or you could also cut the maintenance costs by coming up with a greener Hummer.This one I covet the most,Like Nothing Else!
